If you want a change from the everyday look on your screen when you login to your computer then look no further. I can help you change at least the wallpaper with a few simple steps. I did this myself just the other day to my new DELL XPS Laptop and I thought It was worth sharing it here.

1. First Decide On a nice wallpaper you like that fits your resolution and aspect ratio. Then save it on your desktop as “backgroundDefault.jpg“. Make Sure the File is under 256KB in size.
2. Now Download and unzip This .Reg File to your Desktop and then double click it. Say Yes to merge the file with your registry.
3. Now go to this directory “C:WindowsSystem32oobe” where “C:” is the Letter of the drive containing your Windows 7 Install.
4. Once in there Create a new directory called “Info” and a new directory inside that one called “backgrounds“.
5. Now Cut and paste your “backgroundDefault.jpg” image into the “backgrounds” directory and Press “Left Windows & L” to lock your computer and you will be presented with your new background image on your login screen.
